Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated one time map approval system of the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) on Tuesday. The State’s Urban Development and Housing minister Madan Kaushik was also present on the occasion.
Rawat said that this system will be a convenient means for people to get their building maps passed and also save their time in the process. The system will also expedite works and maintain transparency in the authority. This is a step in the direction of good governance, he said.
The MDDA vice chairman Ashish Srivastava said that introduction of this system will prevent various problems faced by the public. The system will enable the applicant to use the single console to apply, review and track the file. Along with time-bound work, the system will also enhance transparency while land-use information will also be available through the GIS based masterplan. The verification of ownership can also be done. Srivastava further informed that all proposals are colour coded according to time so that any delay in processing of documents will show up on the vice chairman’s dashboard. Show cause notice has also been incorporated in the system which will issue the said notice in case of wrong disposal. The progress of applications, performance of employees and quality of architects and engineers will also be observable on the system.
