While inaugurating the famous historical and trade fair in Jauljibi, Pithoragarh Chief Minister Harish Rawat said these fairs are the hope and traditional dialogue platform of common man. These traditional fairs played important role in establishing communication among the various sections.
He expressed happiness over the rejuvenation of Jauljibi fair spot which was massively devastated during 2013 deluge and has been redeveloped so magnificently. CM reiterated that to develop Jauljibi with its previous prosperity; we have taken some initiatives in this regard which would be carried on further.
Many roads are being constructed to develop frontier region this year. Remaining villages which have no road connectivity would be connected with roads within coming three years. Many developmental schemes are being implemented from Munsiyari to Kutti. State Government is working on some schemes which would give positive results in future. like, Opening of Pandit Nain Singh Mountaineering Institute in Munsiyari which would prove catalyst for development of region. Hot water falls in the region are being developed as tourist spots to create employment opportunities for youths, Chief Minister informed.
Rawat informed that Yatra of Om parvat (Mountain) and Chhotta Kailash has been started this year. 500 devotees did this Yatra during present year. Efforts are being made to open Milam Glacier along with arrangements to show natural beauty of nearby places to tourists. Himaliyan Darshan Yatra is also being started.
While remembering the folk singer and musician late Jhusia Damai Chief Minister said Nagada of this place is a historical Nagada, it would be used and promoted to promote the traditional culture. He appreciated the hard working tendency of hill's women. State Government is promoting women's education as skilled women get employment opportunities easily.
State Government has started various pension schemes for all age group women. Pension is being provided as rights to citizens by Government.
State has worked best through implementing various pension schemes among the other states of country. People are being promoted to adopt agriculture under various schemes.
Many educational, Technical and Medical institutes have been opened in the State. But people might benefit through these institutes only if they give importance to education. State Government is giving importance to education, agriculture, culture and crafts.
