The crucial Cabinet meeting, convened by the Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Thursday to clear decks for the Diwali bonanza the Government intended to give to the people, including Government employees, continued till the time of the story being filed.
The meeting started at 4.30 pm. State Government officials said that the media would be briefed on the details of the meeting on Friday as the meeting was expected to continue till late Thursday night.
According to sources, the Cabinet is likely to clear over 30 issues, including those pertaining to social welfare department, finance department, excise, personnel, UPNl and revenue department.
