The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has directed the ministers in charge of districts to hold monthly review meetings in their respective districts. The Chief Minister also met workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday and took cognisance of various issues raised by them.

Rawat directed that the monthly review meetings to be held by the ministers in charge of districts will entail detailed review of the district’s developmental scheme along with departmental works. In addition to the monthly review meetings the ministers in charge of districts have also been directed to hold open public meets – Janta Darshan programmes in their respective districts.

Through such open public meets, the government will attempt to ascertain that the issues of the people are resolved at the district level itself. The district magistrates will be the chief coordinators for the Janta Darshan programmes.

Earlier, as scheduled, the chief minister met the BJP workers at the party’s state head office on Balbir Road. The CM heard the issues raised by the people at the party office with complaints of about 160 party workers being registered on the occasion.

According to officials, majority of the complaints were regarding the issues faced by the public in the areas of the party workers. Rawat issues necessary instructions to his day officer for immediate redressal of some of the issues raised by the party workers. He also spoke of making a paperless system for recording the problems of the public. The status of such problems recorded should also be tracked, he said. A review will also be conducted to check whether the problem was resolved or not, added the chief minister. The BJP state president Ajay Bhatt and other office bearers of the party were also among those present on the occasion.
