Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed his condolence to the bereaved family members of the seven persons killed in a road accident late on Saturday night at Chopta in Rudraprayag district.
Expressing his grief at the fatal mishap, the Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh for the next of kin of the deceased, financial assistance of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 for those who sustained serious and minor injuries respectively. It will be recalled that while seven persons were killed in the mishap while seven sustained injuries.
