Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat appreciated the initiatives of the Hans Foundation in providing vehicles to the schools under Rajeshwari Karuna Education Scheme started by Hans Cultural Centre and Hans Foundation.
He said that the initiative to provide vehicles to ten schools is something that all must appreciate while attending a programme organised at the CM residence on Tuesday.
Hans Foundation sources say that Mata Mangla and Bholeji Maharaj under the banner of Hans Foundation have been initiating social service works across the country. In Gujarat for instance, 15 lakh school children are being fed under the scheme called Akshaypatra. In Satpuli and Haridwar, international level multi-speciality hospitals are all set to come up in few months. For Uttarakhand, they are engaged in providing 10000 solar briefcases.
CM appealed to the foundation to consider the state if they are mulling establishing a solar briefcase factory. “If it comes up here the state would achieve 100 percent electrification aside from providing employment opportunities to the youth,” he said. The foundation functionaries said that they would soon host community marriage programmes for 2600 poor people on May 21. Besides, they said, they would donate 13 mobile diagnostic vans to the state.
In his address, CM Rawat said that with the availability of the vehicles, the children would reach schools and would be back home without facing the difficulty of public transportation. “The state government is on its part committed to improving the education system substantially. Teachers would be recruited soon to solve the crunch. We are stressing on revamping the government-run schools,” he said.
He also invoked the Centre’s flagship projects like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), Swachchh Bharat (SB) and Namami Gange (NG) while claiming that with BBBP being executed, the sex ratio has improved a lot.
later, CM flagged off the school vehicles for Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Timli Pauri Garhwal and Saraswati Shishu Mandir Naya Bazaar Pithoragarh. He further said that he is expecting much more from Hans Foundation for the betterment of the
