The Khali show also proved that Chief Minister Harish Rawat is a showman par excellence and has no comparison among his political peers in the State of Uttarakhand. The event was organised by CM4Youth, a propaganda wing of state Chief Minister and was aimed to woo youngsters. Inviting Khali to Uttarakhand proved to be a political master stroke by which Rawat was able to setup an instant rapport with the youngsters of State.
During the show, the CM was at his oratorical best when he said that he is Khali of Uttarakhand and is prepared for the political wrestling in the assembly elections scheduled next year. He said that the event has firmly placed the State of Uttarakhand and stadiums of Haldwani and Dehradun in international reckoning.
Brushing aside the charges of opposition about state expenditure on the show, the CM said that only one table that was broken by Khali in a press conference and it was all the state spent on Khali show. The CM congratulated the organizers for successfully hosting the show. He said that the event is a perfect prelude to the national games of 2018 and it has raised the level of enthusiasm among the youngsters of the State.
