A few days left for the Prime Minister to visit the city, the municipal corporation Dehradun is set to launch ‘Clean Dehradun Cleanliness Fortnight’ from Tuesday. The municipal commissioner Dehradun Vijay Kumar Jogdande has assigned duties to different teams for the drive. The main thrust of the team is to inspect different aspects like checking the presence of the cleanliness staffers in the assigned places, cleanliness level of the dustbin and drain done by the workers in the assigned places, checking uniform of the workers and finally the feedback given by the people.
Keeping these points into consideration, the team will reward 15 staffers according to the work done by them.
In order to check it properly, 60 wards have been divided into four zones and a nodal officer from every zone has also been named for the drive.
The drive would not just focus on cleanliness but would also work to remove banners, and posters from the different parts of the city for which a special team would be formed by the MCD, informed Jogdande.
