The results of 550 students of class XII have been revised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The results of these students are being revised as the marks of the practical examination were not added in their final mark-sheet.
The newly-constituted regional office of Dehradun saw protests by many students immediately after the declaration of results of Class XII examinations.
These students alleged that they received much less marks than they expected in the examination. It appears that the marks of the practical examination sent by some private schools were notadded in the final marks list by the CBSE office located in Dehradun. Hundreds of the students of CBSE Dehradun region had applied for verification of their marks as they were not satisfied by the results.
The students can also apply for viewing their evaluated answer sheets and for reevaluation of if they are not satisfied by the marks given to them.
A new region of CBSE was created by bifurcating the erstwhile Allahabad region in the month of January this year. 1378 schools of the Uttarakhand and Western Uttar Pradesh were put under the jurisdiction of the newly constituted Dehradun region.
