President of Class IV employee association, Dehradun unit, Uttarakhand, Nelson Kumar Arora has alleged that the medical health and family welfare department has not initiated the process of promotion of class IV employees even after the orders of the Supreme Court.
Arora said that the Supreme Court on October 16 this year had directed the health department of Uttarakhand to start the process of promotion of those class IV employees who are eligible for being promoted to Class III scale. He said that court passed this order while hearing an appeal of class IV employees of Uttarakhand in the appeal number 7696 of 2009. Arora said that despite the orders of highest court of the nation, the department has not initiated the process of promotions which amounts to contempt of the court. He said that class IV employees of State are deprived of the promotion from last 14 years.
