Citizens face traffic woes on first day of Asembly session

Published on:

The route diversion and heavy security arrangements by the district police created some traffic nuisance for the general public on the first day of Vidhan Sabha winter session.

Due to the barricading and diversions place on roads especially near the Vidhan Sabha, most of the commuters took alternate routes towards their destinations.

This step was fine until more vehicles started cramming into the narrow roads and with almost no police personnel present there to regulate the traffic remained choked at various points.

The commuters going towards Rispana at the time of protest march had to face problems. That was the time when the barricading was completely closed and there was no way but to take a roundabout route just to cover a 200 metre distance. The school students also had to wait for the barricading to re-open again or to take longer alternate routes.
