As the last minute preparations are going on to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, a growing tribe of people are also looking beyond self – pampering, and it is their efforts to make the festival of Christmas joyful for the underprivileged.
Father Rev. Wilson Masih told that the oldest Church in the heart of the city, Presbyterian Evangelical Church, which was established in 1903. In the city three major Churches namely–The Holy Catholic Church Jwalapur, The Methodist Church BHEl and the Presbyterian Evangelical Church Devpura have glittering lights all round the building and the wafting sounds of the carols in the air, masses are being held which would herald the festival. While the markets turn into mini carnivals with cookies, candles, pots, garden accessories, winter apparels, home furnishings and even magic shows and lucky draws.
