People of Champawat whose land has been occupied by the Government for widening of the Chhatar-Srikhandchaur Collectorate Road in Champawat, will be able to get compensation for their land on May 24.
As the Champawat district administration is going to verify the land taken from the villagers for the aforesaid road widening works on May 24, so it has appealed to the landowners concerned to be present at the aforesaid road site during verification of the land taken for the road widening works on Saturday, May 24. land of some of the families of village Punethi, Kulethi, Darabisht and Dungrasethi, has been taken for the Chhatar- Srikhandchaur Collectorate Road widening works, said B C Pant, Executive Engineer, PWD, Champawat.
Therefore the villagers concerned have been urged to be present at any cost at the Chhatar-Srikhandchaur Collectorate Road widening works site on the occasion of the verification of the said road stretch on Saturday, May 24 so that compensation could be granted to them, added pant.
However, it would not be easy for us to grant land compensation to those villagers who would not be present at the said road site on the occasion of verification of the land taken for the road works on May 24 and the compensation amount of such villagers who would remain absent from the land verification site of the said road, would be deposited to the revenue department, Pant clarified, urging the villagers concerned to remain present on this occasion on May 24.
