To review the election preparation in lok Sabha constituency wise, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Radha Raturi convened a meeting with District Election officers (DEOs) through video conferencing in secretariat on Friday. She also said that the foremost priority should be to conduct lok Sabha election peacefully. For this ECI has sanctioned 56 companies of CAPF to the state. Besides it 7,100 Home guard jawans are coming from UP, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
During meeting she has instructed them to make sure distribution of voter slip to each voter of their respective areas at least one week ahead of polling. If a voter does not have voter slip or EPIC but his/her name mentioned in voter
list then he/she can be allowed to vote if presiding officer gets satisfied.
She also warned them that lackadaisical approach will not be tolerated at any cost. She also asked them to make sure availability of drinking water and shadow for the voters at polling booth. To provide voting opportunity to the officials, who have been deployed on election duty, you make sure distribution of postal ballot and election duty certificate to them. Before giving permission for rally or public meeting to political parties you check all aspects through single window system only so that candidate should not face any inconvenience after procuring permission for the mentioned area during campaign or rally.
