To stop irregularities in the construction works in Army Cantt Board, Chakrata, joint teams from CBI, PWD and Army continued with the raids on Wednesday too. Joint team members had started the raids at Cantt on Tuesday morning. Things continued on Wednesday too in the offices of Army officers and others. However, the team members chose to maintain distance from media. Cantt Board officials are learnt to have spent money to the tune of crores in construction works in defiance of the norms. CBI officers are learnt to have collected documents related to irregular construction works, sources said. Some army officials were grilled during the raids.
The raids were continuing at the time of the story being filed. Sources further said that CBI had received complaints regarding irregularities in the construction of roads, boundary walls and street sans tenders in the Army Cantt Board.
