The Srinagar Police has registered a case against the CEO of the Srinagar power project Prasanna Reddy and seven other dam supporters based on a complaint lodged by Hemant Dhyani of Ganga Ahvaan. A case has also been lodged against opponents of the dam.
The dam supporters had heckled and violently protested against Swami Gyan Swaroop Sanand when he along with supporters had visited the Dhari Devi shrine near Srinagar on Monday. Srinagar Police SO Anil Joshi told The Pioneer that a case was registered against eight persons including Reddy under various Sections of IPC on Dhyani’s report.
