The family members of the student of Rishikul Vidyapeeth who allegedly committed suicide at the hostel of the school in September have lodged a case against two teachers of the school. They also submitted two suicide notes purportedly written by the student to the police. As per the suicide notes, two teachers had made his life miserable. Acting on the complaint, police have lodged a case against the teachers, tagging them with the provocation charge for the suicide. Probe is going on, added police.
It is learnt from the police that Deepesh Sharma, son of Devendra Sharma, resident of Phase 6 Shiv Vihar of Delhi, was student of class VIII in Rishikul Vidyapeeth. He was staying in the hostel in Rishikul premises. Around midnight, he, allegedly, hanged himself within the Vidyapeeth premises.
Though the family members of the deceased had raised questions soon after the death the police had said that action would be taken only after the post-mortem report was received.
Things came to a head after the family members of Deepesh met SP City Mamta Vohra on Tuesday and said that two suicide notes had been recovered from his clothes. In these notes, Deepesh had allegedly named Devidutt Kandpal and Dinesh Chandra Tiwari for having made his life miserable.
The family members alleged that both the teachers had tortured him so much so that Deepesh was forced to end his life.
Speaking to The Pioneer, SP City Mamta Vohra said that handwriting of the suicide notes would be matched with the original writing of the student. “Besides, the teachers and the students of the school would be questioned. Once the probe is over, action would be taken against those responsible for the death,” she said.
