The general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and in charge of Punjab Congress, Harish Rawat has said that the recent statements of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh suggest that he is under some pressure. Rawat addressed the media persons here on Friday and cleared the stand of the party on the Punjab issue. The AICC general secretary said that he has learned from the media reports that Captain Amarinder Singh has said that he was humiliated by the Congress party.
Rawat said that Singh was made CM for two terms and 9.5 years by the Congress party and was made PCC chief three times and asked if this is the humiliation he is talking about?
Rawat said that recent closeness shown by Amarinder Singh with Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders raises a question mark on the secular credentials of Amarinder.
