The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Panwar) has alleged irregularities in appointments made in the State transport corporation with most of the persons appointed being from outside Uttarakhand. Demanding cancellation of such appointments, the party has also demanded a high-level inquiry into the alleged anomalies.Addressing the media here on Tuesday, the UKD (P) head Trivendra Singh Panwar said that the transport corporation general manager (personnel) Ashish Kumar and general manager (operations) Deepak Jain had recently made several appointments to the posts of driver, conductor and other posts. Panwar said that all the persons appointed to various posts are from outside Uttarakhand.
He said that in violation of government order and regulations, most departmental heads continue to provide undue favours and appointments to people from outside the State at the cost of the job applicants native to Uttarakhand. He alleged that these two officials of the transport department had made appointments without ensuring domicile certificates and registration of applicants in the employment exchange. Since such appointments are in violation of the regulations, they should be cancelled immediately.A high level inquiry should also be constituted into the appointments made by these two officials, he demanded, while adding that the party will directly intervene to ensure that the local youth get what is rightfully theirs if no action is taken by the authorities.
