The eighth death anniversary of the ex-principal of Cambrian Hall school, RC Singhal was observed on Tuesday in the School Auditorium. Singhal’s sons and daughters-in-law - Sandeep Singhal, Mamta Singhal, colonel Mukul Singhal, Namrata Singhal and his grand daughter Mrigakshi offered floral tributes to him.

It was followed by floral tributes by the school principal, SC Biala, vice principal RC Uniyal, senior school coordinator Reeta Singh, middle school coordinator, junior school coordinator and school captains.  The school choir presented a Bhajan ‘Hey Ram’ and a hymn ‘Abide with me’ a very favourite hymn of Singhal on the occasion.

The memorial service began with the gathering observing two minutes’ silence in the memory of the departed soul. The school principal SC Biala, paying his homage to the ex-principal, said that the passing away of RC Singhal – a dedicated teacher, an academician, an epitome of discipline, knowledge and ineffable commitment and the modern age Dronacharya in the true sense of the term, was indeed an unfortunate day not only for Cambrian Hall but also for Doon Valley as well.

Singhal served Cambrian Hall for 27 long years with dedication and hard work.  The school attained glorious heights under his leadership, he added.
