BSNl yet to restore services shut down a month ago

The people, particularly online service users, have been facing  a tough time   due to telecommunication problems here for more than a month following   disruption in BSNl- run services  like internet.

The online services particularly internet became dysfunctional after the closure of BSNl's Kushumkhera exchange in Haldwani on November 22. Though officials concerned at the BSNl, Haldwani, claim to have taken measures to smoothen the services by way of shifting its exchange to a nearby area, internet services still remain badly hit. So professionals including cyber café-owners are presently facing a tough time due to poor BSNl  communication network. We have hired services of some other companies. But these alternative measures are quite costly, Haldwani's Kushumkhera-based cyber café owner said."Since we have to provide service to our regular customers therefore we have to  put in place these alternative measures which have proved to be a costly affair," regretted the cyber café owner.

Though  the officials concerned of the BSNl are claiming to have shifted the exchange to a nearby area to restore its communication network, the connectivity still remains very poor i.e. particularly the internet services, further said the cyber café owner. The communication services could have been smoothened much earlier, were it a private organization in place of the BSNl. But the BSNl being a public entity seems little bothered about its communication networks, allege the cyber café owners. Some of the areas where the communication services have been hit include  the main Kushumkhera and its adjacent areas including Uttaranchal Colony,  lamachaur, Kathghariya, Unchapul, the RTO Office Road,  the Gas Godam Road, Pushp Vihar, Haripurnaik, Kamluwaganja, to name a few areas.
