Bro. Dennis Joseph is the new principal of St. Joseph’s Academy, Dehra Dun’s premier co-educational school with effect from 15thApril. He had been the vice principal of the school for the past two years or so under the outgoing principal Bro. AJ George who has now gone to Doha, Qatar, as the principal of Olive International School that is being run under the guidance of the Patrician Brothers.
English language and literature are his strong points. He boasts of both Masters and M. Phil in English and a degree in education. He began his teaching career in 1990 and has taught at several schools run by the Patrician Brothers over all these years. His reputation as an outstanding teacher is well known, and so is his command over English language. Thus his elevation as the principal of St. Michael’s Academy, Chennai in 2005 did not come as a surprise. He taught there for two years and then was sent to Mount St. Patrick Academy as its principal in Pune in 2007.
Bro. Dennis is a native of Kerala and joined the Patrician Brothers in 1982. For him, it has been a journey of ‘NO RETURN’, and one of ‘spiritual fulfillment’. For him, this life of abstinence and celibacy is spiritually satisfying and he too has no regrets having joined the Congregation. Bro. Dennis sports a modest demeanour and is very popular both with the teachers and the students. Reading, travelling and listening to music are his pastime.
