The board has taken stringent measures to prevent malpractices during the examination. The invigilators and flying squads have caught four students from Udham Singh Nagar district while one student each from Haridwar and Nainital till Wednesday. The Director Secondary education R K Kunwar told The Pioneer that best possible security measures are being taken to conduct the board examination in free and fair manner. The department has categorised 252 examination centre as sensitive while 34 are in hyper sensitive category.

In Dehradun district no case of unfair practice has been reported till date. The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Dehradun, S P Khali told The Pioneer not even a single student was found involved in any form of examination malpractice in the district. He attributed this to increased vigil and changed pattern of examination which offers very little time for a student to engage in cheating.
