To prevent inconvenience to voters, now the Booth level Officers (BlOs) will hand over the voter slips to voters at their doorstep. The BlOs have started distributing the voter slips to the voters at their home from Monday, said HC Semwal, District Election Officer (DEO), Pithoragarh. “Therefore, we appeal to the voters to get their voter slips from their area BlOs at their door steps,” added Semwal.
However, in case the voters are not found at home at the time of delivery of the voter slips, the BlOs will provide these to voters at the polling booth campus on polling day, he said. Semwal said that complaints about non receipt of voter slips by the voters would be taken seriously, he said while requesting the voters to exercise their franchise on the day polling in a big way.
