The District Education Officer Parmendra Saklani has directed the Block Education Officer to look into the complaints against the Universal Academy School located at the Turner road. The Uttarakhand Parent’s Association (UPA) had complained that the school authorities are harassing the parents in the name of security money.
It was alleged that the school is refunding the security money in form of cheques which are issued in the names of students instead of their parents. The parents complained that they had to open bank account of their kids to deposit the Cheques given by the school. The president of UPA Neeraj Singhal demanded that the education department should conduct an impartial inquiry in the matter and strict action should be taken against the school authorities for harassing the parents.
