The activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised a protest outside the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun on Friday. The activists led by district president Amit Kapur assembled at the office of top health department officer of the district on the day to vent their anger for what they call collapse of health services in the State run hospitals.

Addressing the gathering, Kapur said that these hospitals have all the facilities but due to shortage of staff, the patients are not able to avail their actual benefit. He said that the government hospital in Premnagar does not have any security guard due to which an insecure environment prevails there. Some months ago a new borne baby was lifted from the hospital which reveals sorry state of affairs in the hospital. The speakers expressed their resentment that the female patients visiting the Doon women hospital have to go to Doon hospital for registration. The activists later handed over a memorandum to the officiating CMO.
