The BJP’s youth wing, BJYM and the members of the Hadwani unit of the Congress seem to be engaged in milking the emotive issue to their sectarian advantage in view of the recent minor rape-cum-murder case. While the BJYM activists were busy raising questions over the crumbling law and order situation during the CM’s visit on Friday, the Congressmen, on the other hand, staged stir against the BJYM’s agitation for its alleged attempt to incite the common people to violence.
“We wanted to meet the CM to draw his attention to the precarious state of things here. Besides, we wanted to raise the Ramnagar immolation case too. But we were not allowed to meet him,” alleged the BJYM members. At another remove, in a bid to use the stone pelting at the CM’s car up to its hilt, the Congress leaders said the saffron affiliate was busy provoking the people to violence.
