BJP’s youth wing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM)’s Haldwani unit demanded better health services at Government Shushila Tiwari Hospital, Haldwani on Tuesday.
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, BJYM activists from Haldwani unit urged the State Government to take necessary steps on the matter, keeping in view the multitude of people who throng here for medical service.
They mentioned that Government Shushila Tiwari Hospital being the largest public sector hospital in the Kumaon division deserves better treatment from the State Government. They alleged that with things at the State-run facility remaining in a mess, the poor are being forced to go to private facilities to be fleeced there.
The State Government must address the issue of the acute dearth of specialist doctors and technical staffs plaguing the hospital, said Vikas Bhagat, BJYM’s Haldwani unit president.
Among others present when the memorandum was served were Jagdish lausali, Jaswant Singh,Yogesh Rajwar, Hemant Sahu and Bhagwan Bisht-all from the youth outfit’s Haldwani unit.
