BJP's target is to rule from Panchayat to Parliament: BJP national General Secretary

BJP national general secretary Ramlal said that BJP’s target is to rule from Panchayat to Parliament and their vote percentage must reach 51 percent. Stating this, he asked the party leaders and the workers to pull up their socks to help the party achieve the target while  addressing  the state BJP executive committee meeting in Derhadun on Saturday. “We aim at freeing  the country from the clutches of Congress. It amounts to freeing the country from corruption. We must expand our bases. Following the principles laid down by our late ideologue Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay whose birth centenary we are celebrating this year, we have  achieved a lot by increasing the number of MPs, MlAs and chief ministers aside from making the party the largest one in the world in terms of the number of its members,” he said, while asking the leaders to surge on instead of getting stuck in the cesspool of self-complacency. “Once upon a time, we used to move on foot or ride bicycles. But now we have power and resources. But we must not allow this to get into our heads,” he said.

Appreciating the works done by the BJP- led State Government over the past four months, Ramlal said that they deserve full-throated  applause. He stressed on the strength of the organisation as the key to success in the matter of governance.
