Dubbing the BJP’s reaction to the State Government’s notification issued to use the MlA hostel at Gairsain as a State guest house as ‘misleading’ and ‘politically motivated’, Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s media advisor Surendra Kumar said that the notification does not amount to the State Government doing a volte face on the emotive issue of Gairsain being made the permanent capital of the State.
“We are sincere in our commitment whereas BJP is intent on trashing the issue for its political gains.
The saffron party’s stance on it is far from clear from the beginning and they are now intent on raising hammer and tongs on a non-issue,” he said. Spelling out the state government’s stance, he said that as far as Gairsain is concerned the State Government is merely trying to improve the connectivity of the place.
“Things are moving fast towards the consummation devoutly wished for. BJP knows it. This is why they are crying wolf to derail things,” the CM’s aide said.
