The Uttarakhand BJP has lined up a number of programmes, including Parivartan Yatra, in the coming days to ensure that people vote for a change and bring the saffron party to power. The party leaders said that the Parivartan Yatra would be held in each of the 70 constituencies with the leaders moving in chariots.

The party would also organise a fortnight-long campaign known as ‘Jawab do Hisab do’ with the party leaders reaching out to the people at the level of booths to ask the State Government questions about how it has run the State over the past five years. Informing this, the State BJP chief Ajay Bhatt said on Thursday that his party would do everything possible to rid the State of the Harish Rawat regime.

Bhatt slammed the PCC president Kishore Upadhyay for his demand for evidences of the surgical strike that was launched at PoK a few days ago.

“We demand the Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi to take action against the PCC president for such irresponsible statement. The Congress has warned the party men against casting aspersions on the anti-terror surgical strike. This warrants that action must be taken against Upadhyaya,” he said.

He further said that party would embark on the Parivartan Yatra from November 9-the day the State observes its foundation day. “All the senior leaders, including former Chief Ministers and national working committee members, will participate, divided into different groups. Sitting in raths, they will go to each of the 70 assembly constituencies of the state. It is meant to make Uttarakhand a State rid of the Congress,” Bhatt said.

Meanwhile, the Opposition party has launched Dalit Swabhiman Sammelan from Kotdwar on October 5 . Such programmes would follow in each of the constituencies. The Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot will attend the programme. Bhatt said.

The State BJP chief further said that they are focusing particularly on the new voters. “As per the Election Commission, 10 lakh youths have become the first time voters,” he added.
