Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed confidence that Bharatiya Janata Party will win from all the five seats in Uttarakhand.

Further, the natives of Uttarakhand living in other states have also voted unanimously for the BJP. Stating that this time the BJP had clearly requested the public to empower the party with a majority he opined that the party would win more than 300 seats in Lok Sabha elections.

A day after a number of exit polls released showed the Bharatiya Janata Party on the way to achieving a clear majority following the Lok Sabha elections, the Uttarakhand chief minister reiterated that the work done by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had convinced the public to re-elect him for a second term in office.

He further said, “In Uttarakhand, the BJP will win from all the five seats. In addition to winning, the vote share will also increase compared to the previous parliamentary election. Apart from this, the natives of Uttarakhand living in other states, including those natives who are associated with other parties and organisations have voted unanimously for the BJP.

This is because the people have understood the sincerity of Prime Minister Modi’s attachment to Uttarakhand.

Various persons hailing from Uttarakhand are occupying top posts especially in the sphere of national security, which has also enhanced the pride of Uttarakhand.” Rawat recalled that apart from campaigning in Uttarakhand, he had also addressed six public meetings in Haryana, three in Delhi, four in Uttar Pradesh, one in Chandigarh, three in Rajasthan and one in Himachal Pradesh. These places also have a considerable population of Uttarakhand natives.

Referring to the reason for Modi’s popularity, the chief minister said that he had promised that all governmental efforts would have the welfare of the poor at their core.

He said, “The Prime Minister fulfilled his promises by ensuring effective work under various governmental schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Kisan Samman Nidhi among others. Prime Minister Modi worked strongly on the ground on aspects like the Jan Dhan accounts, Digital India, sanitation and medical health facilities. Medicines and various medical operations are now conveniently accessible at cheaper rates.

Efficiency of governance can be gauged from the fact that inflation is not even an issue any more. Concrete work was done on plans to fulfill the needs of the common citizen,” he added.

Rawat went on to state that on the global platform, the Modi government’s foreign policy, economic policy and diplomacy had achieved commendable results for the nation.

The Central Government under Modi also facilitated procurement of modern arms and equipment for the armed forces, progress in space science and getting the favour of the international community on various issues, he added.
