BJP State vice president Dhan Singh Rawat and Kedarnath former MlA Asha Nautiyal met Uttarakhand Governor Dr Aziz Qureshi and apprised him about the grievances of the disaster-hit victims in Rudraprayag district, Garhwal division of Uttarakhand.

They also demanded from him to interfere into the matter for redressing the grievances being faced by the villagers living in the district. The delegation also comprised of the students from the Rudraprayag district who are studying in Dehradun after facing the brunt of the natural calamities that wrecked havoc in the entire State, last month. After expressing concern over the lethargic approach of the State Government while carrying out relief operations in the disaster-hit areas of Uttarakhand, the delegation submitted the death toll list to Governor. Rawat has alleged that the Congress-led State Government has completely failed to provide basic amenities like food grains, kerosene, lPG cylinders, potable water etc. in the district.

He lamented that the connecting routes are still damaged in the district though 26 days had passed since the natural calamities struck in Uttarakhand. Nautiyal lamented that the State Government is yet to take effective steps to repair bridges and main routes in the  Kedar valley after devastation. They also demanded from the Governor to quash the fee for students and the delegation was assured that fee structure would be quashed for the students. District general secretary (Rudraprayag), MS Panwar, Ravinder, Ashish Semwal and Neeraj Kaparwa were also present.
