BJP probing allegations in entirety

The Bharatiya Janata Party stressed that allegations of sexual misconduct levelled by a woman party worker on the party’s senior State office bearer are being inquired into by the party. The BJP State media in charge Devendra Bhasin said that the allegations are being probed by the party and proper action will be taken on conclusion of the probe. The removal of the State General Secretary Sanjay Kumar from his post has not been officially announced.

Regarding the talk between the alleged victim and the party city chief, he said that the matter is being inquired into in its entirety. “The issue is said to have reached the police so the police are doing their work while the party will also pursue its internal system,” said Bhasin.

It will be recalled that a woman worker of the party had accused Sanjay Kumar of sexual exploitation and released an audio clip of their explicit conversation.

She had also complained about it to the BJP city chief Vinay Goyal and reportedly captured the conversation using a spy camera.
