In a bid to keep their own house intact, State BJP chief whip Madan Kaushik visited MlA Bhim lal Arya’s house and pasted party whip on Sunday. The party whip mentions that each MlA will have to be present in the Vidhan Sabha on May 10 at 10 am. Besides Arya, the BJP has to ensure each MlA should receive copy of party whip individually to avoid any confusion at the last moment.
All MlAs have been called to report in a hotel near Vidhan Sabha by Sunday evening or Monday morning. They will stay there till Tuesday 11 am. It means entire MlAs will go together in Vidhan Sabha on May 10.
While pasting the notice at entrance of Arya’s accommodation in MlA hostel in Dehradun, Kaushik had invited media as well. As is known, after March 18, in which BJP MlA Bhim lal Arya had been absent despite party issuing a whip, BJP had lodged complaint before Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal and seeking his disqualification from the Vidhan Sabha for violating whip.
Speaker issued notice to Arya but Arya outright rejected the allegation and said that he did not receive any official letter of whip from BJP and even BJP could not produce clinching evidence to prove that they had delivered whip copy to the MlA. After hearing both sides the Speaker had rejected the BJP plea and then BJP had said that he would challenge the order in high court.
To avoid any such confusion this time BJP pasted a copy of whip at his residence amid media presence. As is known, Arya had openly shown solidarity with Harish Rawat and was also shown in a footage removing shoe of Harish Rawat outside a temple. Even he accepted in media that he had helped Rawat to remove his shoe before entering into a temple.
Even Harish Rawat is consistently claiming that he has support of 35 MlA in the strength of 62 members Vidhan Sabha. In which he has been claiming 28 Congress including one nominated MlA, six PDF and one BJP MlA Bhim lal Arya. It is being said that he might be absent from Vidhan Sabha or if he comes then he would vote in favour of Harish Rawat during floor test.
