BJP MlA Madan Kaushik raised a breach of privilege issue against the Treasury Bench, saying contradiction in figures related to the number of villages remaining deserted in the State has forced him to bring a motion.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Indira Hridayesh had informed that 1059 villages are deserted while the Chief Minister's diary says 1065 villages were deserted.
"Education Minister Mantri Prasad Naithani has provided a figure that does not match with the two given by the CM and the PAM. We must be informed which one is correct," the MlA said. Then CM Harish Rawat said that he would inquire and then inform the House in the afternoon. later he said he would do the same on Saturday.
