BJP likely to blow the bugle for next election

During his two-day visit to Uttarakhand, BJP chief Amit Shah will address a ‘Shankhnad rally’ in Haridwar on Saturday evening. Observers say that the BJP  would blow the election-2017 bugle from the rally.

The preparations are  going on in full swing with the local party  leaders arranging rituals  like ‘Dugdh Abhishek’ of Ganga, praying  for the success  of the rally. The district administration has, meanwhile,  imposed Section 144 in Haridwar district, barring the areas falling  in the Municipal Corporation areas and Rishikul Grounds where the rally would be held.

State party president Ajay Bhatt has asked the BJP State youth wing to bring 25,000 youths for the rally. The hub areas of the city are all covered with posters. By way of a change, the party has put flex displays  featuring single leaders instead of a combination of leaders.

Things are the same from Ranipur towards Satpal Maharaj’s Prem Nagar Ashram.  The posters and flexes  of the leaders, ready to welcome the national  party president ‘individually’, are on prominent display. The leaders are Ajay Bhatt, Manoj Garg, Satpal Maharaj, Madan Kaushik and many others.

The prohibitory orders have already been imposed in the entire district except for Nagar Nigam area where the rally will be held.  Additional district magistrate Jiwan Singh Nangyal told The Pioneer that  they were on their guard because of intelligence inputs regarding Shah’s security.

“Barring the Nagar Nigam area, Section 144 has been imposed on the entire district, from Thursday evening till Saturday. Former legislator Kunwar Pranav  said he  would oppose the proposed Congress peace march. Besides, the anti-social elements may get active and may  try to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere  of the district. Hence the prohibitory order,” said ADM Nangyal. The party youth wing divisional chief Ashwini Kumar said they  were holding meetings in their respective wards, blocks and villages to generate awareness among the youths about the ideology BJP personifies.
