Taking cognizance of media reports about people are not getting compensation despite money allocation, State Government convened a meeting with officials to plug the lacuna in Government notification. This was disclosed by Cabinet Minister Harak Singh Rawat while interacting with media persons at the Secretariat on Monday.
To put pressure on the Congress-led State Government, BJP legislature staged dharna outside the secretariat and started raising slogans against the State Government. Seeing this, Chief Minister called officials for a meeting in his office.
leader of opposition Ajay Bhatt said that Congress-led State Government is adopting all stunts to demean the BJP legislatures.
For instance, they conducted CBCID enquiry in Rudrapur riot and trapped BJP MlA Rajkumar Thukral. later they put pressure on CBCID to name MlA Thukral in Rudrapur riot after seven month of the incident. Although BJP demands CBI enquiry because "we know that CBCID would not conduct fair investigation into the case".
At the same time, Bhatt said that “we have full faith in our judiciary system so MlA has already approached Supreme Court and hope he would get relief from there”.
To prepare their new strategy, they have called BJP legislatures meeting in Dehradun on December 30 evening. While filing the report, the meeting was in progress.
The invitation reached the venue where a large of BJP workers gathered to listen their leaders, then large number of BJP leaders, including BJP office bearers, reached to the chief minster office building by holding the hands of their senior leaders or MlA.
Seeing it security officers, who were deployed especially at CMO called more police personnel and passed the instruction that no leader other than MP and MlA should be allowed into CMO.
Due to this order, MlAs, including Puran Singh Fartyal, Sahdev Singh Pundir and Mahaveer Singh, were seen arguing with police personnel to get access in CMO and later they were allowed.
Even BJP leader Naresh Bansal along with Rajiv Jugran were struggling hard to get access in CMO, but failed to get access. Seeing large number of media presence, they somehow sneaked into the crowd and decided to leave the CMO floor as part of face saving exercise.
