The Uttarakhand Congress has reacted sharply to the claim made by chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat that in the last three and half years of BJP rule, 85 percent of the announcements made by him have been fulfilled. Addressing media persons at Rajiv Bhawan here on Friday, the Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress Surya Kant Dhasmana termed the present BJP government as the worst government the state had since its creation. He said that in the run up for the assembly elections of 2017, the BJP had assured that it would waive off the loans of the farmers, control prices in 100 days and constitute the office of Lokpal within 100 days. It talked about zero tolerance on corruption and recruitment on the vacant posts in all government departments. Dhasmana said that none of these promises made have been fulfilled by the Trivendra Singh Rawat government during its three and half year rule.
Claiming that the BJP government has proved to be a total failure, the Congress leader said that the state government is immersed neck deep in corruption and everyone in the government including the CM is maintaining a stoic silence.
