BJP State spokesman Prakash Suman Dhyani cornered the Congress-led State Government over Panchayat elections and questioned why the State Government had started selling nomination papers before its official notifications.

He also asked the State Government to disclose where was the collections deposited earned through the selling of nomination papers. Dhyani lamented that the Congress-led State Government was not taking effective measures for redressing the grievances of those villagers, who faced the brunt of natural calamities.

Meanwhile, a delegation headed by BJYM State president, Saurabh Thapliyal met Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar complaining about the Government’s callous approach for not framing recruitment selection board in the State.

Thapliyal also alleged that Congress Government was yet to take effective steps for providing job opportunities to the unemployed youths of the State.

“Quashing of advertised posts under Class-III categories was surely a wrong decision as the State was reeling under the acute problem of unemployment in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand,” said Thapliyal, adding that the Government had also completely failed to provide appointment letters to the unemployed youths of the State despite issuing seniority list to them.

The BJP leader also lamented that dozens of posts were lying vacant in university and the State Government was yet to take steps for filling the vacant posts.

He also alleged that the unemployed youths who were willing to apply for police recruitment were completely confused over physical and medical standards. Thapliyal also demanded from the Congress-led State Government to take effective measures for redressing the grievances of unemployed youths of the state and also threatened that if the state government does not take effective measures then, BJYM will hit the roads in support of their pending demands in the near future.
