The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Ajay Bhatt lambasted the opposition for alleging that developmental works have come to a standstill in the State. Referring to the allegations being levelled by the Congress at the BJP for allegedly pressurising people to donate to the party, Bhatt said that the BJP was undertaking its Aajiwan Sahyog Nidhi programme and also receiving the support of the public for it.
He said that the people were donating to the BJP under the programme of their own volition. The BJP state president further stressed that the party was taking donations in cheque to ensure transparency and accountability.
He questioned the Congress as to in which form was the party collecting donations from the people.
