Chief Minister Harish Rawat is facing tough challenge from BJP candidate BD Joshi and Congress local leaders who were being crushed or terrorised by the former MlA Harish Dhami to establish his fiefdom.

BJP has been spreading the message among the disgruntled Congress workers during their campaign that if CM Rawat wins from here, then again ex-MlA Dhami would become de-fecto chief minister in Dharchula assembly constituency and "you will feel again cheated or will have to surrender before Dhami."  If CM Rawat's family or Congress leaders fail to address the issue, the situation would become delicate.

Although despite being admitted in hospital, CM Rawat is addressing public meeting by using modern gadgets like video or mobile. To ascertain this, they said that chief minister's wife and senior leaders, including State PCC president Kishore Upadhyaya and ex-PCC president Yashpal Arya, have been stationed in Dharchula. This was disclosed by the State BJP general secretary Prakash Pant while talking to

Now, he has been giving tough fight to the CM.

Sensing tough fight or being a ground leader CM Rawat, who has been admitted into AIIMS Delhi because he received neck injury when his chopper which he was flying met turbulance since June 12, is not leaving any stone unturned and addressing several public meetings by using modern gadgets like video conferening or mobile.

Even he had sent his most trusted lieutenant Nandan Singh Guptyal, who resigned from the post of Officer on special duty (OSD) to CM, to Dharchula. Even his family members are busy in canvassing. BD Joshi is getting support of BJP workers and agitated Congress workers, who were running annoyed with ex-Congress MlA Harish Dhami because he tried to crushed old Congress leaders, having notion that if CM wins then Dhami would again become defunct chief minsiter in Dharchula.

Even BJP is putting all efforts to educate the people about the dictatorship of former MlA. Political analysts say that if CM or Congress fails to address the issue, the situation would become delicate.
