BJP emerges as largest party in ULB polls, voters have rejected Congress- Ajay Bhatt

The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ajay Bhatt claimed that the BJP had emerged as the single largest and strongest party in the urban local body elections while the Congress had been rejected by the public.

Expressing happiness at the victory of party candidates contesting for posts of mayors, chairpersons of municipal councils and Nagar Panchayats and councillors before the final results for all the posts were officially declared, Bhatt thanked the public and greeted the party workers.

The BJP state general secretary and election committee coordinator Naresh Bansal also thanked the public for victory of party candidates.

Averring that the BJP had emerged strong in the local body polls, he said that the public was not duped by the misinformation spread by Congress due to which the Congress had been relegated to the third position whereas independent candidates had come second.

The public believes that only the BJP can facilitate the desired development of the state.

He also assured the people that under Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, the state government will cooperate fully for development of all local bodies and strengthen them contrary to the stance of the previous Congress state government which had treated non-Congress boards with partiality.
