The Congress is stumbling at the start of the urban local body elections whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party, contesting on the issue of development is set to achieve major success like it did in the Vidhan Sabha elections. The BJP State media-in-charge Devendra Bhasin said this while expressing confidence at the party’s chances of victory in the local body elections.
He averred that in the local body elections, the BJP will perform even better than it did in the assembly polls. The developments taking place in the Congress party and statements made by its leaders are a clear indication of the party stumbling at the very start of the local body polls. “Even as the nomination process is underway for the local body polls, the Congress leaders have become busy making allegations against the BJP and talking of complaining to the election commission. This clearly shows that the Congress leaders are sensing their dire position in the local body election.
The BJP will contest the polls proactively with development as the main issue. The BJP is committed to facilitating development and this our mantra in the local body polls,” stressed Bhasin.
