BJP condemns PCC chief's comment on PM's mother

The BJP has strongly objected to a statement made by PCC chief Kishore Upadhyaya regarding Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi. Addressing the media on Tuesday Upadhyaya had said, "I wish that the Prime Minister's mother lives more than 100 years. However, all of us have to die one day. Considering the apathy with which Modi is treating Uttarakhand (State of Ganga's origin) it is possible that if after his mother's demise, Modi comes to immerse her ashes in the river at Haridwar, Goddess Ganga might not accept those," he said. leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Ajay Bhatt said that making such a statement is not expected from the PCC chief. "Any person's mother is venerable and making such a comment on the PM's mother is highly objectionable. We have no problem with political comments but Upadhyaya should not stoop so low making such personal comments that only expose the Congress' mentality," said Bhatt.
