The BJP Uttarakhand State in-charge Shyam Jaju said that the intention behind planned visits by BJP MlAs to the Char Dham shrines is to send a message to people across the nation that the BJP is alert about the arrangements of the Char Dham Yatra. Addressing the media at the renovated BJP city office, Jaju said that the planned inspection of Char Dham shrines by BJP leaders is not aimed at politicising the issue but at assuring the people that BJP is alert and concerned when it comes to arrangements for pilgrimage.
He further said that taking cognisance of the damage suffered by crops due to unseasonal rains and hail, the Central Government has made even those farmers who have sustained 33 per cent crop damage eligible for compensation whereas earlier only those who had suffered 50 per cent crop damage qualified for compensation. The Central Government has also decided to increase the compensation rates for farmers from Rs9,000 per hectare to Rs13,500 per hectare, he added.
Speaking about the performance of the Central Government with Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister, Jaju said that in the last 10 months, India had made direct contact with 100 nations with the Prime Minister, Foreign or Finance Ministers visiting these countries. “A new image of India is being developed in the international sphere. 177 nations agreeing to commemorate June 21 as World Yoga Day is among the major achievements of the government,” he said.
