Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has worked tremendously for Hindi language and Ayurveda” Amit Shah, BJP national president, said after inaugurating Ramdev’s Pantanjali Sewa Sadan in Haridwar on Sunday. Shah was on a day long visit to 'Patanjali Yog Peeth', the ashram of Ramdev. He said that Ramdev has done great work in yoga and Ayurveda and now people look towards the two to get a solution to their health problems. Shah also extolled Ramdev’s struggle against corruption and Congress.
Patatnjali Sewa Sadan is a newly-built residential complex for life-time celibates and volunteers. An inaugural ceremony was organised at Patanjali Yogpeeth Phase II campus on Sunday.
Appreciating Baba Ramdev for his contribution towards the society to make them aware of the benefits of Yoga, Shah said “What Baba Ramdev has done is great, people now look to Yoga and Ayurveda to solve their problems.”
Further hitting out at the Congress, Shah said, “Kansa ki buri taakat aayi to Shri Krishna ka janma hua, Congress ki buri taakat aai to Baba Ramdev ne sangharsh kiya.”According to reports, the function was attended by Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishan, whose 'seva sankalp' has made Patanjali Sewa Sadan a reality.
Shah was also scheduled to visit to the world's largest Patanjali Food and Herbal park and Yog Gram as well later in the day.During his visit State BJP president Teerath Singh Rawat, leader of Opposition Ajay Bhatt, Haridwar MP Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. local MlA Madan Kaushik and other State BJP leaders were present.
