After cornering the Congress-led State Government and UPA-II over various issues directly or indirectly related to common man, the BJP State in-charge, Radha Mohan Singh said that the party workers will leave no stone unturned to defeat its main rivals in the upcoming general elections, slated to take place in next year.
While addressing the mediapersons in a Press conference held at State party office in Dehradun on Tuesday, Singh said that veteran leaders across the country will participate in the national executive meeting stated to be started from June 8 onwards. He said that couple of important
decisions would be taken during the meeting.
After expressing concern over the slower pace of development in the State, the saffron leader said that Congress-led State Government was yet to take concrete steps for pushing the State further on the path of development.
“It is a matter of concern that the higher areas of Uttarakhand lack basic amenities like potable water, road, school and medical health centres,” he said, adding that party will shortly distribute assignments to party activists to update residents about wrongful policies, which were implemented by the Congress-led State Government during its rule in the State.
He further pointed out that UPA-II has completely failed to redress the grievances of the common man and corruption has become rampant in the Government machinery. He also cornered the UPA-II for rising prices of essential commodities in the country. Expressing satisfaction in the recently concluded civic polls in Uttarakhand, Singh hoped his party will surely emerge victorious in the upcoming general elections as the Union Government has completely failed to introduce beneficiary schemes for the upliftment of common man and inflation is also a major cause of concern for the common man. Uttarakhand BJP Chief Tirath Singh Rawat and the leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha, Ajay Rawat were also present.
