leader of Opposition Ajay Bhatt has accused the Congress-led State Government of failing to maintain law and order in the State.Increasing cases of crimes, including the recent murder of an Anganwadi worker in Bhimtal, scores of chain snatching incidents and loot cases happening in different parts of the State have made things clear, he said. The State Government seemed least bothered with things spiralling out of its control, he added. He stated this while touring Kumaon region on Wednesday. Ridiculing the development claim of the State Government, the veteran saffron leader said this was all gibberish being rolled out to befool the people.
“Over 10,000 announcements have been pompously made by the Chief Minister. However, on the ground, just five per cent of them has been implemented,” he said. People resenting such flamboyant announcements came up during the Chief Minister’s Janta Darbar in the State capital on Tuesday, he said. The State Government was levelling fabricated allegations against the Opposition leaders to deflect them from raising such issues, he said, adding that they would go on fighting for the cause of the people, undeterred by the ruling party’s browbeating.
