State BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdev today said that daughters are considered as Goddess Lakshmi. On the occasion of Deepawali, the Chief Minister should take a pledge to protect these daughters of the State. More than 1200 daughters have been raped. Dozens of tribal and Dalit daughters have been victims of heinous gang rape and murder.
Shahdeo said that in the latest incident of Garhwa, a young man named Hazrat Khan attacked a Dalit girl because she was refusing to marry him. He said that this is a similar incident to Nikita Tomar but today the ‘secular enlightened’ class is keeping silence on this incident of Garhwa. The BJP leader said that one Rajkumar was lynched on charges of theft in Deoghar. “When Tabrej Ansari was killed all the major parties including the Congress had raised their voices at the national level. But, these parties have kept mum on the issue of mob lynching of Rajkumar. Raising the issues only by looking at the religion of the victims and the ruling party of the State governments is indicative of shoddy and appeasing political culture,” he said.
